- Developed the first comparative genetic linkage map using wild species G. tomentosum, identified structural rearrangements, terminal paracentric inversion on the chromosome 3, 10 and 15.
- The cotton fibre quality genes have also been mapped using 7 fibre mutants.
- Identification of duplicate genes in the diploid D genome on sequencing of Gossypium D genome.
- Molecular characterization of cotton working and core collections.
- Parental lines, B and R lines characterized and diverse genotypes have been identified.
- Developed 21 cotton varieties that include 7 of G. arboreum, 4 of G. hirsutum and 10 G. hirsutum Bt varieties. Registration of 4 unique genetic stocks.
- Genetic Resources developed: RM populations, Several stable lines (> 100), RILs for fibre quality G. hirsutum (248), and G. arboreum (193).

- Android based CICR Cotton App for extension of cotton production and protection technologies.
- e-kapas as a model was successfully used to disseminate cotton production and protection technologies to the large group of farmers through voice message services
- Using aneuploid lines of Chinese Spring, identified 3 genes on long arm of chromosomes 2A, 3A and 6B which imparts susceptibility to hexaploid bread wheat in hemizygous condition.
- Identified Rare fibrous root mutants and an induced fasciated macro mutants -a first report of induced fasciation in Lathyrus.
