Conserved 12326 germplasm accessions including 24 Wild species of Gossypium, 15 races of cultivated species and more than 45 synthetic polyploids in the Wild Species Garden maintained in the institute. Collected seeds of two wild species viz. G. ekmanianum and G. darwinii from Rasi seeds for enrichment of existing collection.

Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP):Technologies developed by the institute through training programmes organized for Tribal farmers in the two Tribal dominated districts of Maharashtra Gadchiroli and Umred cluster MGMG villages under centrally sponsored TSP Program. Inputs also distributed (Paddy, Cotton & Vegetable seeds and Birfertilizers) to Tribal farmers of Gadchiroli district.
